What is electric Motability?

If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance that has at least 12 months remaining on it, you’ll be able to lease an electric Motability vehicle from Brindley.

How do I apply for the Motability scheme?

Please visit the Motability website which provides all the information you need to begin your application.

Who is eligible for Motability?

If you receive a qualifying disability allowance, you’ll almost certainly be eligible for Motability.

How do electric cars work?

Unlike a conventional combustion-engined vehicle, an electric car is powered by an electric motor which is provided energy by a high-capacity on-board battery.
An electric car can be charged at home, at work or at one of thousands of UK-wide public charge points.
Electric cars are very affordable to run and produce zero harmful emissions.

Are all electric cars automatic?

Yes. There is no clutch nor gears to worry about, which means an EV is easier to drive than a car fitted with a manual gearbox.
